A Complete Guide: What to Expect During a Roofing Project

1. Expect a lot of noise! There will be constant hammering for two or more days, depending on how big your roof is.

    2. Keep children and pets away from the work area. Your house is a construction site and is very dangerous.

    3. Take all loose items off wall shelves and walls, including pictures, plates, figurines, and TVs. Hammering can create vibrations that may knock these items off their places.

    4. Clear out all items near your home where roofing debris or bundles of shingles could fall. This includes patio, pool furniture, potted plants, vehicles, & garden equipment. Remember that leaves or blooms on plants close to your home may fall off during the work, but they will come back.

    5. The crew must use your driveway to load shingles and clean up. Please move your cars, motorcycles, bicycles, boats, and anything else away from the driveway.

    6. WARNING! Occasionally, A/C, water, and gas lines may be installed improperly under the decking, causing nails to penetrate and resulting in unpredictable damage. This damage will be the responsibility of the property owner’s insurance.

    7. When we work on the roof, we will use a nail roller to pick up any nails that fall. However, we cannot guarantee that we will find every nail. Some nails may be hidden in the grass or bushes and might still be there.
